Our Sciath na Scol camogie and hurling teams are having a busy week. On Monday we played in Barryroe and this Friday we play away to Timoleague NS in the final round of the competition. Maith sibh a pháistí!

Shared Reading is in full swing in Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin at the moment with páistí from Rang 6 visiting Naíonáin Mhóra every morning to hear their partners read.

Our lunch time leagues are up and running since our return for the final term. There is great skill and determination on show from our camogie and hurling players in Rang 2.

**Seachtain na hInnealltóireachta/ Engineering Week **

Ár mbuíochas do thuiste, Shane McManus a roinn a chuid ama is saineolas le Rang a 2.

Engineer Shane McManus, who is a parent in our school, popped in to visit Rang a 2 recently to celebrate engineering week. Shane spoke to the páistí about all the different types of engineering and highlighted the fact that engineering exists all around us, every day! Bhí Naíonáin Bheaga an-ghnóthach le déanaí. They were learning about life on the farm where they made farm animals, milked a cow, learned what is made from milk, built a farm and learned about baby animals.

Turas Stairiúil- History Trip

Bhí lá den scoth ag Rang a 6 inniu ag daingniú gach a bhí foghlamtha acu faoin nGorta Mór.

Rang a 6 had a wonderful day today on their history trip to “The Skibbereen Heritage Centre” where they consolidated all they had learned about the Great Irish Famine recently.

Buíochas to Terri Kearney and all the staff there for such an engaging and informative session. 🙏🏻
We even gave a heartwarming class rendition of “Dear Old Skibbereen” there before venturing onto the historic Abbeystrewry Graveyard.

A pit stop to Ahamilla Astro ( Buíochas to Pádraig O Reilly & Clon GAA ) on the way back to school was a fitting end to a great day!!!! 😊
